The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari has polled the highest number of votes in Saturday's elections held in Ondo State.
Though General Buhari and President Jonathan of the PDP both won in 9 local governmnets each, the APC Candidate edged out his PDP Counterpart with votes 48,521 votes.
The state returning officer and vice Chancellor of the Univeristy of Abeokuta, Professor Oyewole Ousola after all thr 18 local government collation officers had given a breakdown of results in their respective council areas announced that Buhari jonathan polled 251,368 votes.
The statebresident electoral commissioner, Olusegun Agbaje thanked the people for their aupport since the electoral proess began and urged allparties to accept the result in good fate.
Agbaje said collation of votes is still ongoing for the senatoriwl elections andsome of the house of representative polls at respective federal constitiencies.
Speaking after the result announcement, the APC Agent, Bode Sumonu and gisPDP Counterpar, Banji Okuomo said they are satisfied with the outcome of the result.
At total of 582,435 persons voted in the election which is about 52% of theover 1.1 million who colected their PVCs.
